Being an open source, Razer has provided users with the ability to develop any of the hardware and software designs! Which basically means that Razer OSVR is NOT controlled by a single organisation or group of companies. Razer OSVR has a software licence that uses the Apache 2.0 Licence which enables users to have similar compatibility as Android has with smart phones, but in within Virtual Reality Systems.

Razer OSVR runs on Linux, Android and Windows. Razer OSVR has also been designed to be compatible with all HMDs.

RAZER OSVR HACKER DEVELOPMENT KIT
Designed to be a balance between quality and system requirements. The HDK 1 includes all the basics to enjoying VR, including positional tracking, and is able to get you into VR on a mid-tier gaming pc or better (GTX660 or AMD equivalent or Intel i5 3.0Ghz or AMD equivalent). Basically, you can jump into other realities without breaking the bank.
